Position Description

Make a significant impact in patient care within an essential healthcare setting as an Infusion Nurse in Lyndonville, VT. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic role in a busy infusion center, where your expertise in intravenous therapies and patient-focused nursing will be critical to quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer intravenous medications and therapies safely and compassionately, adhering to established standards while monitoring patient comfort and responses.
  • Oversee infusion center schedules, prior authorizations, and order reviews, coordinating seamlessly with healthcare providers, payers, and care teams to support efficient operations.
  • Provide thorough education and support to patients and families, ensuring clear communication about treatments and promoting understanding.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in electronic medical records and medication logs to comply with clinical and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Minimum of two years of RN experience, with at least one year in acute care preferred.
  • BSN degree required.
  • Current Registered Nurse license valid in Vermont or through a multi-state compact.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Experience as an Infusion RN and familiarity with port care are essential.
  • Preferred: Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI).

This contract position includes a schedule that begins midweek; travelers will start on Wednesdays, with the initial orientation week hours adjusted accordingly. Completion of a flu vaccination is mandatory to meet healthcare credentialing requirements.
